Tigre is about 50 minutes by train from Retiro; Colonia is a 1 h 15 min ferry crossing plus check-in. Buenos Aires itself has no ocean beach or mountains.

The strongest bookable themes in the measured inventory are tango shows, neighbourhood and city tours, Argentine food and wine, football experiences and estancia day trips. Recoleta, La Boca, San Telmo and Palermo are city districts, not separate day-trip destinations.
The official Tigre tourism site gives about 50 minutes by direct train from Retiro. Road tours may take longer in traffic; a delta boat ticket that starts in Tigre still requires you to get there.
The fast ferry crossing is listed at 1 hour 15 minutes, but this is an international trip to Uruguay. Add the operator’s check-in time, immigration and travel to the terminal; it is not a 75-minute outing.
The city sits on the Río de la Plata and has riverside parks and cruises, but no ocean beach and no mountains. Delta scenery belongs to Tigre, about 30 km away; true beach or mountain trips require substantially more travel.
